I can't tell you how much I'm enjoying this place, I've settled in so well even though I did miss my connected flight. I've already learnt that I can have unlimited refills everywhere and that the women love my accent.
Two weeks ago on a blisteringly hot Saturday team THSG and the junior section got involved in the Ross on Wye carnival. It was a great event which allowed us to showcase what the club offers too thousands of the people in the local area.
Kate & Josh Bibby are now back with us after a successful trip at the US Kids World championships at the Pinehurst resort in USA.
I would like to sincerely thank everyone who attended his leaving day and who donated to Niall's leaving gifts. We had a fantastic day with his friends, family and members of the club. We raised £2,010 which paid for his computer and golf kit for his new venture.
On Tuesday Kerry Welding shot the low round of the year with a quite superb gross 75 (+2).
This week we look at improving your hip mobility and the importance of understanding disassociation between your upper and lower body.
Niall will be leaving for the states next Tuesday, find out what’s been going on for him at the club this week. We have had a great response for Niall’s golf day, which is now fully subscribed with over 100 people playing in the day.
LPH pupil Richard James won his first professional title last week after seeking guidance from Oli in his putting.
We have had a fantastic uptake on our junior academy days with record numbers in all groups. Junior golf is thriving at the club with more and more children taking up the game and choosing the THSG.
There has been two huge product releases this week with Bushnell unveiling there new Tour V4 and Ping releasing their new I Blade.
James gives us an update this week on his season so far playing in many national events across the country. This year has been my first full season of golf playing in every event from club competition to national competition.
This week we hosted the first ever John Kyrle Schools Championships here at the club. It's been a busy week here at the THSG. On Tuesday we held the first ever John Kyrle Championships. This marked the end of term and the end of our 6-week teaching programme we did with the school.
A word from our captain Warren on what was an awesome weekend for the club. I think I’ve just had my favourite weekend of being Captain!
Just this week we finished the final bits of photography ready for the launch of our new exciting website. We had another great day with Ben Duffy our expert photographer who has helped us photograph and capture what the THSG are all about. The photos are going to be used for our new website that will be launched in August.
Last weekend Alex Duncanson won the prestigious Traders cup and Mike lane trophy with some unbelievable golf.
Abbie Bishop is the star of this weeks newsletter with a quite splendid performance in the Gloucestershire Girls County Championships.

Niall will be leaving us just days after his competition to start his scholarship with Kirkwood college in Ohio, America. We will certainly miss him massively at the THSG as he has been a real credit to the golf club and us.

This analysis has helped Ian Caves reduce his handicap down to an all time low. Ian has been going through a rich vein of form following a K Vest lesson which has seen him reduce his handicap from 13 to 9.
Many other THSG pupils have enjoyed the in depth analysis which K Vest gives, it has helped change patterns in their swing that are long lasting and not just quick fixes.
This technology is widely used on tour by many of the top players. If you would like to find out more than please ask one of the team.
Above is a video of THSG pupil and county player Cam Haines using the biofeedback part of the analysis. Here Cam is training a better backswing with more hip rotation, to help efficiency and power in his golf swing.
Jan Armstrong has also had an awesome time of late with her golf. She was crowned Herefordshire county champion in June, finished 2nd with Hannah Whibley in the daily mail foursomes and then won this months medal……keep it up Jan!!
