On Tuesday Kerry Welding shot the low round of the year with a quite superb gross 75 (+2).
THSG pupil Kerry Welding took the honors in the Cinderford Cup with an unbelievable nett 65 (gross 75). The 2 over gross round included a 1 under par front 9 which included 8 pars and 1 birdie.
Kerry is the model pupil working hard on her game throughout the year. She sees myself and Oli on a regular basis staying strict with practice and patient with her swing changes. Kerry has been knocking at the door for a while now and this score caps off all the hard work.
Her handicap has now been cut from 10 to 8.0.
Pictured above her playing partner on the day, Jan Armstrong also had a great knock with a nett 70. Jan who follows Kerry in lesson taking has seen her handicap reduce from 8.9 to 7.6 this year.
Also a special mention for Jessie Lawrence who also compiled a great score with a nett 68 finishing second to Kerry.
